After realizing my dream of moving to San Diego, I began my investment advisory career in 1982 as a financial consultant with EF Hutton. Although working for a Wall Street bank provided an excellent education in the financial markets, it became evident corporate agendas and priorities were not always aligned with their client's goals and objectives.  I recognized for our financial advice to be truly objective, we needed to become an independent, fee-only advisory firm.

We founded Pacific Wealth Management in 1998.  As professionals with almost four decades of financial advisory experience, we have successfully navigated the many good, bad and ugly market environments, while delivering intelligent financial and retirement strategies for high-net-worth investors.

A graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s degree in finance and business, I then earned my Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) accreditation from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, through the Investments and Wealth Institute. I have passed the FINRA Series 3, 7, 8, 63 and 65 financial services examinations, as well as hold life and disability insurance licenses (California). For relaxation, I enjoy most outdoor activities, including spending time in the ocean, the mountains or simply hiking the trails of North County San Diego with our Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix, Kona.

I committed to a career in the investment advisory business while working as an intern with Pacific Wealth Management in 2006. After gaining further experience with Morgan Stanley and then Wells Fargo Advisors, I rejoined the PWM team in 2013 with a commitment to develop expertise in my craft and deliver comprehensive financial planning to high-net-worth individuals throughout the United States. As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), and Pacific Wealth Management’s Director of Financial Planning, I manage the wealth planning process for all of our clients.  Our disciplined approach to financial planning ensures all aspects of our client’s financial lives work together in a coordinated way today and throughout their lifetime.

While studying economics and art history at the University of California (Davis), I also attended the University of California Study Center in Siena, Italy. When I’m not helping clients reach their retirement goals, you can find me surfing or on the golf course. I also love to ski, snowboard and explore new parts of our planet.

As a Wealth Advisor and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) with Pacific Wealth Management, I work with our team of seasoned financial experts to protect and grow clients’ wealth. It is rewarding for me to see the calm my clients experience when we design a financial plan that prioritizes their concerns and lays a clear path toward the achievement of their financial goals.

Before becoming a financial professional, I taught high school and college English. I earned my undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University and a Master’s degree in British Literature from the University of Virginia. I have passed the FINRA Series 65 examination and hold a Life and Disability insurance license from the state of California.

I love spending time with my daughter and twin sons, who are all in high school. I enjoy my daily runs on the beach and am always trying to read more non-financial literature in my spare time.

Before you decide to work with us, all prospective clients are invited to three, no-obligation meetings where you will receive actionable recommendations and in-depth insight into how we can help you achieve your goals.

We will gain a comprehensive understanding of your past, present and future financial goals. During this time, you’ll also learn more about our team, capabilities and fee structure.

In the second meeting, we'll explore opportunities to expand on your goals, as well as identify any gaps in your current strategy. Then, we'll refine your financial plan, evaluating potential scenarios so you understand how your finances may be impacted. Afterwards, we'll review your investments, identify your optimal risk tolerance and share our investment research resources.
