After realizing my dream of moving to San Diego, CA, I began my investment advisory career in 1982 as a financial consultant at EF Hutton. Although working in the Wall Street environment provided an excellent education in the financial markets, I recognized that for our financial advice to be truly objective, we needed to become an independent, fee-only advisory firm.

In 1998, Mark Hill and I co-founded Pacific Wealth Management. As professionals with almost four decades of financial industry experience, we have successfully navigated the many good, bad and ugly market environments while delivering expert financial and retirement strategies for high-net-worth investors.

As a graduate of Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and business, I have passed the FINRA Series 3, 7, 8, 63 and 65 financial services examinations, as well as hold life and disability insurance licenses (California). I enjoy most outdoor activities, including spending time in the ocean, the mountains or simply hiking the trails of North County San Diego with my Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix, Kona.

An active member of the investment community, I am a former San Diego Financial Planning Association board member; International Academy of Collaborative Professionals treasurer; and Collaborative Family Law Group of San Diego president. Currently, I serve on the board of the Collaborative Practice California (CPCal).

A nationally-recognized speaker regarding the financial aspects of divorce, I have an honors degree from the University of Keele in England and hold FINRA Series 3, 7, 63 and 65 licenses, as well as life and disability insurance licenses (California).

I committed to a career in the investment advisory business while working as an intern with Pacific Wealth Management in 2006. After gaining further experience with Morgan Stanley and then Wells Fargo Advisors, I rejoined the PWM team in 2013 with a commitment to develop expertise in my craft and deliver comprehensive financial planning to high-net-worth individuals throughout the United States.

While studying economics and art history at the University of California (Davis), I also attended the University of California Study Center in Siena, Italy. When I’m not helping clients reach their retirement goals, you can find me surfing or on the golf course. I also love to ski, snowboard and explore new parts of our planet.

Before you decide to work with us, all prospective clients are invited to three, no-obligation meetings where you will receive actionable recommendations and in-depth insight into how we can help you achieve your goals.

Our first meeting is all about getting to know one another. We are interested in who you and your family are and where you want to be. We will gain a comprehensive understanding of your past, present and future financial goals. During this time, you’ll also learn more about our team, capabilities and fee structure.
